me and the month of october have a love-hate relationship.
reasons to love october:
my birthday!
crunchy leaves.
fall colors.
fall clothes! sweaters & boots.
soup & hot chocolate are acceptable foods again.
reasons to hate october:
knowing winter is coming.
cooler temps.
frost.
dark mornings - shorter days.
dark evenings - longer nights.
another reason i love october is it always seems to be a mont of milestones.
last year it was during the month of october that we said "bye-bye" to the camper we lived in for the first 6 months of our marriage and moved into our HOUSE!
and this year during the month of october, we are closing on our house [hopefully this week!] long story, but we rented it for a year and are now buying it :D
oh and my family is coming to visit! yay!

so, if the month of october was say, in place of the month of may? wow - i'd be head-over-heels in love. but since it resides firmly before the month of november, the whole winter looming thing definitely dampens our love-affair.
